I have been teaching english as a second language since 2007 to a diverse group of learners ranging in age from children and middle school students to adults at the college level. I have also been teaching spanish for fifteen years. In addition to the skills outlined in my resume, i possess exceptional organizational skills as well as cultural sensitivity. I am also computer proficient and have experience teaching online as well as in technology enhanced classrooms.

During the 2007 and 2008 academic year i relocated to barcelona, spain. While in spain i taught english as a second language to young adults and business and medical professionals. Upon my return to western new york, i began teaching english as a second language at the english language institute at the university at buffalo. While at the eli, i taught courses on listening and speaking, as well as grammar and writing to international students and medical and business professionals. I also helped prepare students for the toefl exam. I currently teach english as a second language online to young adults, as well as business professionals from europe, china and brazil. I teach with global – lt as well as language trainers. At global – lt, i teach english as a second language and cultural assimilation to visiting engineers and their spouses from praxair and delphi. I also teach spanish online with middlebury interactive languages.

Since the summer of 1995 i have successfully completed four overseas programs. I have visited spain seven times and have taken classes in language, culture, and teaching english as a second language. I have extensive experience tutoring and teaching students of all ages. I recently moved back to barcelona to continue teaching english to young adults and business and medical professionals.
