My name is bastiaan bloemink and i am seeking an english teaching position. I am a licensed history teacher from the netherlands with a bachelor’s degree in history education. I am also tesol certified. After completing my degree, i worked as a secondary school teacher in the netherlands, teaching history and social studies. Two years ago, i moved to vietnam where i have been working as an english teacher at vus (anh van hoi viet my) and tran dai nghia secondary school for the gifted.

As a secondary school teacher in the netherlands, i taught classes in both english and dutch and provided an internationally oriented curriculum. The school i worked at implements a bilingual curriculum, of which i am a strong advocate. In this position, i worked with diverse learners of varying nationalities and backgrounds including dutch, german, turkish, moroccan, chinese and indonesian students. I provided lessons to stimulate language proficiency and teach subject content at the same time and implemented various clil techniques in my classroom.

Additionally, i was proud to design and organize a student exchange program with a school in germany and lead students on a cultural exchange in ukraine. In vietnam, i have taught english to learners of various ages. The majority of my students are elementary aged or teenagers. The students are from a range of socio-economic backgrounds and have varying levels of english proficiency.

I strongly believe every student has the capacity to achieve success and is entitled to a quality education. I see it as my mission to enable students to meet and exceed their personal goals. My classroom is always a nurturing environment for experience-based learning and direct interaction with relevant materials and themes.

I am currently living in oviedo and i will be able to begin work immediately.
