Soy profesora de español para extranjeros, titulada con el máster correspondiente de la universidad complutense de madrid.

I have studied spanish philology and i am finishing my two master's degrees in hispanic american literature and spanish as a foreign language. I am an active, creative teacher who believes that students will forget whatever is not integrated in their inside world. I always try to implement my lessons with materials that are related to their life, and with which they get emotionally involved. I usually search and make up new, dynamic exercises to encourage them to participate, and know each other better and to bring them closer to other people and cultures. As a part of my practicum experience, i submitted a proposal to associate grammar contents with spanish literature, which is very different from a usual text analysis: it consists in achieving that students feel what a native reader would feel, and in teaching them how to use what they are learning in order to express their own feelings and ideas, just as the author of the text does. Foreign students must be able to use spanish language with no inhibitions or fear to failure, and assimilate it as a natural mean to express themselves. Languages belong to speakers, otherwise they do not have a reason to exist.

Furthermore, i do not only teach them what they need to pass an exam but also the social skills that will enable them to build solid personal relationships. It is essential not to forget nonverbal communication, daily metaphors and expressions, customs and social rituals must be transmitted in class, which must be known by students as well so that they can get a richer knowledge about the language they are learning this way, they will remember their spanish lessons.
