To whom it may concern:

I am interested in working as an instructor in the humanities or arts and social sciences. Having completed a master of arts in philosophy at the university of ottawa in 2016, i have experience as a teaching assistant – instructing and lecturing university students, as well as grading assignments and exams. For the last two and a half years, i have been working as an esl tutor both online and in private lessons. In addition, i have worked as a freelance and contract copywriter, editor and proofreader for
Several years. In my free time i have continued my education independently, watching countless hours of university lectures on topics such as psychology, history, and cognitive science. My teaching experience and broad knowledge base make me an ideal candidate for your institution.

I enjoy interacting with students of all ages, backgrounds, and proficiencies. Since students only learn when they are truly engaged, if i am to teach them, i must be able to relate to them; and having traveled in many countries and accrued experience in several professions, i have learned the importance of adapting to my environment. Additionally, having constantly found new ways to challenge myself, i have cultivated the kind of confidence and intuition needed to instruct others and help them to progress.

It was only a few weeks ago that i moved to jerez de la frontera and, wishing to make this beautiful and culturally rich city my home, i am keen to integrate and get involved with the community. I believe that working as an instructor would make that goal realizable. I look forward to speaking with you soon.
