Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a PGCSE graduate with obtained QTS status. I decided to undertake a PGCE scheme at the University of Greenwich as I saw this to be an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in education. I became familiar with the education system in the UK and carried a significant amount of responsibility almost from the outset. All of this in tandem with a vast array of resources, support and interaction with the university facilitated the perfect platform from which to launch my career in education. I subsequently began my NQT year at Brampton Manor Academy, which was unfortunately interrupted by the pandemic. I did however learn a lot in the short time that I was actively teaching there.
In the year between studying my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees I worked as an English teacher at an academy in Barcelona where I was responsible for 73 students. These students were aged between 3 and 14 with a wide range of abilities. As detailed in my CV I have been working with children for most of my professional life. I build relationships with children very well and I believe I have a genuine talent for teaching. Above all, it is something that I thoroughly enjoy. This is evident from that fact that whilst studying my undergraduate degree I spent each summer working in what can be best described as an urban summer camp with a view to teaching English. I was tasked along with a colleague to improve the level of English of a class of over 20 children around the age of 11 via a variety of activities, exercises and games.
Shortly after completing my MSc in Finance, I began tutoring A level Mathematics and English for a company called Tutor Doctor Greenwich. I managed to get a very good reputation within the company and I am delighted to say that my efforts were rewarded with an early pay rise and the ‘Tutor of the year’ award for 2019. More importantly, all of my students were very pleased with how they performed in their exams and my boss asked me to publish the feedback I received online in order to promote the company.

I consider the ability to teach well to be a rare talent but also recognise that in order to work in education many other skills are required. I have a very high level of social understanding which, coupled with impressive communication skills allows me to build relationships with my y effectively. I have an excellent academic track record, completing five A levels and achieving the best results in my secondary school. I am native both in written and spoken Spanish, which compliments my social skills greatly. I am also highly organised, manage my time effectively and have much experience working towards deadlines and performing under pressure. I have also held various positions of responsibility and have always been very reliable.

Since the beginning of 2020 I turned my attention towards online tuition. At this point I already had a number of clients, which I had been working with throughout my PGCSE and NQT years. As the global pandemic put a halt to typical education my client base expanded exponentially as many parents looked to online tuition as a way to maintain momentum in their children’s education. I have since established a solid client base through word of mouth recommendations. I could provide countless testimonials regarding previous successes and from current clients that are delighted with my services. I take my job very seriously and always give everything in my lessons ensuring that each student is getting help that is specifically tailored for him/her.
