Hi

I'm maria and i am currently an english language coach with ilc canada who in turn source coaches for tryon in japan. In this role i provide 1 to 1 online classes to business students located in the us and in japan (via zoom) . I also work as a freelance english tutor where i teach children and adults alike.

So that you know a bit more about my background, i am a british national and after a successful and long career at jpmorgan in the uk, i decided to change career for a better work/life balance. At jpmorgan i was a senior compliance manager and trainer/coach for the sanctions compliance department and did thus for 11 years. The training was done both face to face and online with professionals from all over the world.
Apart from english, i speak fluently portuguese and also some spanish. Apart from my coaching and teaching experience, i also hold anadvanced 180 hour tefl accreditation which includes young learners.
As i want to better my spanish language skills, i currently live 3 months of the year in spain and the rest if the year in the uk. I have all of the required documents to work in both the uk and spain.
I enjoy watching my students learn new things and gain confidence in their skills
