My name is veronika janí?Ková and i was born on 19 december, 1983 in the czech republic. I have been teaching english for 11 years. As i started my teaching career at the age of 21, i decided to start distance studies at silesian university in opava to gain a proper qualification for the position. At that time, graduating from this bachelor' s programme called english for teachers, was not only my dream but mostly a key to further self-development. Shortly after the graduation, i felt professionaly empty as i used to be occupied with both teaching and distance studies. On that account, i attended entrance exams for further master' s studies in masaryk university in brno (main field of study for the qualification: lower secondary school and language school/teacher training in english language – faculty of pedagogy) and silesian university in opava (programme: english language – philological faculty).

Since i have always been an open-minded person, i started to study both programmes. After two years of permanent study i was able to graduate from both silesian and masaryk university successfully and gained 2 master' s degrees in english – one in philology and second one in pedagogy. My studies included, for instance, the following: literature in english classroom, methodology, testing and evaluation, children' s literature, general didactics and psychology in school.


I have experience in teaching at following institutions; elementary schools, vocational school, language school. To me, teaching english is not only a way to make a living, but mainly a gift to be shared with others. What i believe, in is the fact, that teaching profession influences every human being. Therefore, i have no doubts about its importance.
